I first read about T-Tapp last fall. I can’t remember if it was in a Somersizing forum or a thyroid forum. I googled T-Tapp, and found the web site. It sounded like something that might work for me. Besides being very overweight, I had been having severe knee pain for almost a year, and at that time was undergoing hyaluronan injections in my knee. I ordered the MORE DVD, and tried it. I liked the program, but I continued to experience acute pain. The pain was especially bad during some of the moves, and I finally gave it up when the pain did not get any better. I had arthroscopic surgery in December. After three months of physical therapy, my knee did get better; but was nowhere near normal. I had to quit physical therapy since my insurance company would not pay for more sessions. I decided to try T-Tapp again. This time, the knee pain was bearable. I kept it up, and did lose some inches. I didn’t measure at the beginning, so I’m not sure how much. I could also tell that my knee was getting stronger. I felt that T-Tapp was doing what all that physical therapy never did.
I read about the 60-Day Challenge, and decided that I wanted to participate. A challenge would give me incentive to keep it up. Since I had had such good results the month before, I thought I could easily have a chance to win. Well, easier said than done! The very first week, I started having muscle spasms in my knee. I don’t think it was due to T-Tapp. At times, my knee would completely give out on me. After several days, I did start back. I took it easy on the Plies and Lunges, but was able to do most of the workout. I worked out when I could during the 60 days, but not as much as I had hoped. Even so, I had some positive results. I began sleeping better, and felt more alert during the day. I was in a better mood. I even found myself singing as I drove to work. I haven’t done that in many years. I didn’t lose inches as quickly as I had hoped, but I found that my clothes were fitting better. Best of all, my knee has gotten stronger and stronger. I still have some pain, but I can usually work through it. Now I can stand up and walk without having to wait for my knee to cooperate. Since I started T-Tapp, I have been more consistent with exercising than I have been in a long time.
I lost a brother to a sudden heart attack three years ago. He was only 54 years old. I know that it is imperative that I lose weight and get in the best shape possible so that I don’t start having heart problems. I believe that T-Tapp is the best way to get this done. I would really like to participate in the T-Tapp Retreat at Safety Harbor in October. Besides giving me motivation to keep up with my workouts in order to be ready, spending that time with Teresa and other T-Tappers would be inspirational. The opportunity to actually spend time with them would help to make T-Tapp an instrumental component of the rest of my life.
