“A picture is worth a thousand words.” In my case, this is so true. My first set of T-Tapp challenge pictures show the me who fell off the T-Tapp wagon in November because of a cold that wouldn’t go away, then, toss in the holidays add a dash of winter blah’s and you have an understanding of where I was. I had gained back every inch I lost in 2007 and then added a few more. My wardrobe options were shrinking rapidly and I knew I needed to buy the next size up. I could barely pull off wearing my stretchy pants without feeling self-conscience. I was beginning to get asked when my baby was due. I was having problems falling asleep at night and could barely drag myself out of bed. By mid-day, I was exhausted and had to take a nap. I saw a picture of myself at my daughter’s playgroup and was mortified! I began to wonder what my next step should be: back to T-Tapp or try something new?
I chose T-Tapp because I knew in my heart that T-Tapp made me look and feel better in the past and it would do it again. While I am more to lose, I decided to choose the Basic Plus/SATI/SITTM/TappCore category because I wanted to see what my favorite workouts would do when I did them exclusively. Every week, I completed three or four workouts and I made sure that I did SITTM for at least one of those workouts. I also decided to break the challenge up into two portions. The first half, my focus was on achieving consistency with my workouts. The second half of the challenge, while maintaining my consistency, I added skin brushing and tried to work on my linear alignment and pulling my belly button to my spine throughout my day. I also discovered that I loved being able to throw in TappCore moves in between my cleaning day activities. What a fabulous pick me up and energy booster!
My last set of pictures show me now and I have lost 17.5 inches! For me, this has been amazing! In the past, my greatest inch loss was 6 inches and the normal loss was 2 or 3 inches. While no one has commented on my inch loss, my husband and I were amazed at the difference between the beginning and the end photos. The results are real! My clothing now fits and I feel so much better in every area of my life. A second point that amazed me was that, while my family is on a tight budget and I have had to pass on every fabulous T-Tapp deal and training opportunity that has come my way, the inches have come off anyway. In the past, I most likely would have attended a clinic, used Alfalfa, Skin Saver Solution and PG spray and taken Dead Sea Salt baths each week. I have found Teresa to be right (again!), less IS more!
I would be honored and love to have the opportunity to workout and learn T-Tapp at a deeper level with Teresa and other fellow T-Tappers in Safety Harbor. By completing this challenge to the best of my ability and approaching it as I did, the changes I have made have become habits. My personal goal is to continue adding a change to my workouts and over all health every 30 days while maintaining the previous changes. For my new 30-day change, I have added walking outdoors while using T-Tapp principles. My dogs and I love it! If I am chosen as a 60-day challenge winner, I will get to say a huge, well-deserved and long overdue “Thank you!” to Teresa Tapp in person for bringing my joy and health back.
In years past, when I was in need of a way to lose weight and find the latest way of eating, I would listen to Oprah and friends for an hour but, not now. Now, I push play! In less than an hour, under Teresa’s guidance, I have aligned my spine, worked all of my muscle’s layers, pumped my lymph, gained energy and have an encouraged spirit because Teresa reminds me “Yes, you can!” and that “You did it!”
