Susan E.

Hi, my name is Susan. I am a 50 year old mother of three grown children who has for most of her adult life struggled with weight and self image problems. During the past three years I have been actively involved at my local gym trying to improve my health and endurance. I participated in spinning classes, used the stair stepper, the elliptical, the treadmill, and weights (machine and free) along with a 1500 calorie diet. I lost weight and felt better but I was always in pain from my knees and my lower back. I kept wondering with all the work I was doing at the
gym, when would the pain go away?

My introduction to T-Tapp was prior to Christmas of 2008. A friend had brought her copy of the 15 minute workout to our ladies’ retreat and talked a few of us into trying it out. I was left with the thought that weekend of how it had made my back feel better in such a short little workout. Time passed and T-Tapp went to the back of my mind, surfacing from time to time to make me wonder if it would really work for me. I ordered the book to learn more and think about what I wanted to do with it. Then I received a coupon from registering my book and decided to order the DVD and give it a shot.

I began to do the 15 minute workout on a somewhat customary basis. It felt good but I wasn’t making a regular habit of it. I had also received some information about Teresa’s other workouts and was intrigued by the one for managing menopause, which I have been experiencing for a couple years, and decided to order the Ladybug DVD. Right after I ordered the Ladybug I received an email about the new 30-Day Challenge that was being offered, in honor of Heather, using the Ladybug and Critter Crunch workouts. My copy would be arriving just in time for the challenge. Coincidence? I think not. After some heavy duty thinking I determined to join the challenge and give it my best shot. With this incentive in mind I believed it would spur me on to do everything possible to get the best results. Besides, they say it takes 30 days to form a new habit and a new habit was just what I needed.

Now that you know a little about me let me tell you about my 30 days of challenge. I found the hardest part of the challenge to be at the beginning, having my photos and measurements taken. It was hard to come to terms with what I looked like in the eyes of others. I didn’t have much hope in the workout having any effect on my body or enough effect to make the changes the photos showed I needed but, I had made up my mind and that was what I was going to do. After the 30 days I would know without a doubt just what T-Tapp could do for me if I stuck with it. I decided early on that because I didn’t have the Critter Crunch workout, which Kitty said wouldn’t disqualify me, that I would do the total Ladybug, standing and floor, every day of the challenge. Except for the day the photos were taken (where I did the first 15 minutes of the standing section), I have achieved that goal. I’m very proud of that accomplishment. I had to laugh a lot the first weeks though, and you would have laughed too to see me trying to do the different exercises. I wasn’t very coordinated and it was hilarious the way they came out. Teresa is very encouraging in the DVD and kept saying go to my max, and yes you can, and I kept trying. Now at the end of the challenge I find I can accomplish most of the exercises fairly well and with coordination. It is a good feeling. One other decision I made at the beginning was I wasn’t going to diet. When I watched Teresa’s seminar and read her book she made the impression on me that dieting was not the way to go. I wanted a lifestyle change that would permit me to live without counting every calorie and feeling guilty when going out to eat with friends or other such activities. What I did do was try to balance my daily food and water intake, enjoy the moments that came along and not “worry” about my weight. This was very hard for me and took effort to achieve. During this challenge I went out to dinner and lunch on several occasions, went on two camping trips (took my DVD player with me and did the workout at camp), and had company come from out of town. I enjoyed each and every outing/event without worrying about food/calories, relying on the workouts to keep me on track. I am happy with the way things went over these past 30 days. It was fun and unfettering.

The very best part of my experiences during this challenge has been the over whelming therapeutic benefits I have gained from doing the workout. I may not have lost the most inches, or the most pounds but I have gained the very best results of all. My physical pain has all but gone away! When I started I had horrible pain in my knees, especially after working out or playing racquetball. Pain medication was my only relief on many occasions. I have degenerative disc disease in my lower back that has required frequent visits to the chiropractor to keep it under control. My back would “shift” on its own at times causing pain and discomfort and another visit to the doctor for realignment. For months my right shoulder has been frozen in pain. I didn’t know the term “frozen shoulder” until I watched the seminar but I knew right away what Teresa was talking about when she spoke about it. I thought this was all part of growing older and I would just have to live with the pain as best I could until the end of my days. What a glorious revelation that this simple yet intense workout can make such an incredible difference! My knees and back have never felt stronger or better. When I climb the stairs at work or get up from a chair I no longer hang on for support and then wait for the pain to ease. I cannot express my feelings adequately enough to describe what this means to me. Those with chronic pain will know best what this means and how I feel. My shoulder has made vast improvements as well but is not pain free, yet. I say yet because I have every confidence that I will be pain free soon. I will continue to utilize T-Tapp for as long as I am able. The benefits are unquestionably worth it.

I have become a avid supporter of this program and have shared my DVDs, seminars, and VHS workouts with many people. A couple of my co-workers have taken to doing the 15 minute workout on their breaks at work. They love how it makes their backs feel better. I sent the seminar to a girlfriend in Kentucky and she is ready to start Tapping. I shared my T-Tapp story yesterday with a friend at lunch and she was totally interested in learning more so my tapes and book went home with her. I have an extra copy of the seminar and I gave that to a friend here in town that has blood sugar problems. He and his wife haven’t watched it yet but I am sure once they do they will also want to join the T-Tapp family. It may take a while to take hold, like it did me, but once you give it a try and experience the changes you never want to go back to any other way. Thanks Teresa for developing this program I am very grateful. Someday I hope to thank you in person for the work you have done.
