Average to Lose with Health Improvements* Category Winner
Self-Directed Challenge Finalist
Andrea F.

My name is Andrea, I am 35 years old, married, and have two children. I live for my family, as do most mothers. My time had now come. I make time for myself everyday and I have seen great results!

I have always been a very athletic person. I have played sports when I was old enough to pick up a bat. Softball became my passion! I have played volleyball, basketball, broomball (I live in the North!), hockey, and weight train for all these things. Getting ready for the season is always important.

I had my first child in 1994. I have never lost the weight. I had my second and added more weight. I have made all the excuses of the baby weight, family, and no time. I still continued to train for whatever season it happened to be but found in more and more difficult to get any weight off. I still would have a great season I would just play harder so I did not have to run as fast. I wish every year that I could lose weight and be faster and still play the best I can.

This year I had my first abnormal pap and mammogram. I have been in early as my mother is a survivor of breast cancer and want to be on top of it. It really scared me! I have trying to eat healthier and walk everyday. I did join an expensive weight loss program with little to no results. Except I am now out of a bunch of money! I had their dietitians at a loss because I could not lose weight on their eating program. I could pay more money for more months as they try to figure this out. Well I would not pay more money for delayed answers and moved on. I tried to do it on my own and have maintained at least no more weight gain. I am not happy with myself and always think my husband and kids are not either. My woman cycles always came with warning. I would be very angry and moody the day before. I would have severe backaches getting to the point of not being able to walk on one of my days.

My good friend started in with T-Tapp. She said this may help with my symptoms and help lose weight on the way. We started on the Basics. She began working on her T-Tapp trainer certification and so began my journey. We have trained together and she has shared so much of what she has learned. My woman cycles come now without warning! No more back pains! I have not had my check up yet, but hope to have great results. My friend told me of this challenge last year. I watched and encouraged her. She won and went to Safety Harbor in 2008. She has encouraged me to give it a try. I took on the challenge as I love competition even with myself!

I have told everyone about this great program! I am very happy and excited to get into clothes I have stored in my closet for years hoping someday….. I hope to walk a little taller and not hide behind my kids on our next vacation. I hope my next woman tests are better and not abnormal.
