More to Lose 3rd Place Winner
Gabrielle F.
My journey with T-Tapp began in January of 2002 when once again my weight was an issue as it has been since my teens. I purchased the VHS tapes of T-Tapp and began T-Tapping my way to a more slender person. Not only was I slender, but my migraines disappeared, my complexion was clear (I believe it was the Alfalfa and Fibertox), and I also body brushed. I had so much energy. Yet I continued to struggle with my weight because I'd stop and start with T-Tapp, I would not remain consistent. It got worse, I attended a cosmetology school (5 nights a week) while doing my full time job during the day. It was horrible. I was exhausted and did not take the time to T-Tapp. I gained all my weight back and then some. After graduating from school, I decided to get serious about losing the weight. Well sadly it’s been 4 years since graduation and I still haven't lost any weight, until this 60-Day Challenge.
In the 4 years I purchased every exercise gizmo out there and taken all different kinds of diet pills to lose weight. I thought they would work better and quicker than T-Tapp. Four years later I can honestly say they do not work better or faster. Most of them cause injury and only work small sections of muscle groups at a time and practically every diet pill that has been recalled. So the only thing I lost with those gizmos and pills was my self-esteem. I felt like a failure not to mention I was, still am, tired of always having to watch my weight, I'm 5'2", and to gain even 5 lbs, I'm in another size. It's frustrating. I believe my body is also tired of me bad mouthing it for being so overweight. I have always been my worst enemy and it has taken its toll. I had gained so much weight that my knees hurt, my back hurt, and I could barely get up from the floor without help. My migraines came back and I started to have more acne. I hated what I had done to myself and I felt like there was no hope. I continued to visit the T-Tapp website to order my Alfalfa and Fibertox and I would look at all those success stories and wonder why that couldn't be me yet when I would start doing T-Tapp, if I couldn't finish the 14 day bootcamp, I'd just quit. I was so focused on finishing the bootcamp and thinking what a failure I was because I couldn't finish it, I'd stop T-Tapping before I even got started.
I don't know what clicked but this year I was determined to lose weight the gentle way, no bashing my body, just loving myself for who I am and what I look like, in the present moment and listening to my body. I saw on the website that the 60-Day Challenge was going to start and right then I decided I was going to enter the contest. I've never done anything like this and after taking the pictures and measurements on May 15, I wasn't going to, HA! I was horrified of what I saw. My posture was horrible and my stomach, wow, pictures don't lie. I decided I couldn't do it, but on May 18, I hit the send button and started to T-Tapp.
The first month was horrible for me as I was still stuck on finishing the 14 day bootcamp and was really mad that I couldn't even get the 4 days in a row completed. I went to the T-Tapp forum and found I wasn't alone. The women on the site are so wonderful, I was thankful to have a place to go to share my failures and successes. A trainer, I believe it was Michelle, said stop worrying about the 4 days and just be consistent. I thought it won't work if I don't do the 4 days in a row, but it has. So the first month I tried to do the Total Workout but I wasn't consistent with the 50 minute workout, so the second month I decided I would try just doing the Basic Workout Plus and if I wanted to I would do Awesome Legs, Diva Derriere or Organs in Place/Half Frogs. I did an average of 2 to 3 workouts a week, no more and a couple of weeks I did only one. I am still working at being consistent, but I can honestly say that I was able to lose inches just by doing Basic Workout Plus. Do I wonder if doing the Total Workout would be faster weight loss, yes but only if you do it! I find that the Basic Workout Plus works into my schedule.
I am so excited because the second month of this challenge, I have had much more energy, better posture, my back and knees no longer ache, I haven't had a migraine and more important, haven't taken a harmful diet pill since May 15 and I have lost more inches in 2 months then I have in 4 years even with diet pills. I know I have a lot more to lose, but I know I am on the right path. Thank you Teresa for making AN EFFECTIVE WORKOUT, the staff who are always ready to help and the ladies on the forum for being kind and wonderful.
Good Luck to all of those who have signed up for the Challenge and for those who are just reading the success stories and wondering if it will work for them. It Will and Yes You Can Do It. Thank you for this Challenge. |
