*Health Improvement: My doctor has discovered that I may have thyroid problems and I am going through some testing. I have not been exercising for quite awhile and I have issues with chronic fatigue and lack of energy. I'm hoping this Challenge will keep me accountable with exercising and hope to see if this will do anything to alleviate these problems. I already know that my blood pressure and cholesterol improves when I T-Tapp. I lost inches before with it so I know it can be done!
A couple years ago, I was thrilled when I lost quite a few inches doing only T-Tapp exercises - shocked that, after trying many different types of exercise, something had finally worked for me. While I maintained my new size for quite a while, this past year I became lazy with my workouts and stopped making time for myself, began eating foods that were less than healthy for me and slowly I gained a few inches back. Frustrated with my backslide, I decided to join this year's 60-Day Challenge. It came at just the right time for me – being the motivation I needed to get back into T-Tapp again.
Because I have been dealing with some health issues that leave me feeling quite fatigued (and visiting doctors to find out why), it was an extra challenge to make myself even think of working out. I decided to enter the Total Workout and Health Improvement categories and while it seemed overwhelming to me at first, I was tired of being tired and overweight.
I began with the Instructional Workouts since I hadn’t T-Tapped in a while and I always learn from these no matter how many times I do them. Soon after, I moved on to the Basic Workout Plus which is only 15 minutes long. I told myself that there is no reason I couldn’t devote that amount of time each day to exercise. Some days I could only muster up enough stamina to do some of the Core moves (Primary Back Stretch, T-Tapp Twist, Hoe Downs). But would I see results without completed a full workout? I sure did! And I didn’t even do it every day. Sometimes I skipped several days just because I was too tired or life got in the way.
As the T-Tapp challenge continued, my constant state of tiredness became less of an issue. I started to wonder – could T-Tapp exercises actually be helping to decrease my feelings of chronic fatigue? I began to take notice and it became clear that on the days I exercised I had more energy for the day and my mental concentration was better. I also craved more healthy foods – lots of leafy greens, lean proteins – less processed food. Toward the end of the challenge, I actually looked forward to my workouts for that feeling of well-being and energy.
T-Tapp never fails to energize me, improve my mood and above all, keep me healthy and fit. I love that I don’t have to spend hours and hours working out and I still get very noticeable results. I’ve made a promise to myself to never completely stop T-Tapping again!
