How many children do you have and what are the ages?
I’m blessed to have 9 children—seven girls ages 22, 20, 17, 15, 11, 10 and 8; and two boys ages 4 and 2.
How did you find out about T-Tapp?
I had been frustrated at my lack of inch loss after my last son. I had had a C-section and had slowly worked my way back up to my previous exercises, which included core, some strength training with hand weights, and rebounding. I was working out 45 minutes a day 5-6 days a week! At 4 months post-partum I weighed the same as just before my son was born! AND still had to wear maternity clothes!
A friend told me how she had lost 15 inches in three weeks using T-Tapp, so I was all ears! J I hated exercise videos! I got the book from the library and then bought my own copy before I had to return the library’s!!! A friend loaned me her BWO+ DVD to use while I saved for my own. I saved my change for 3 months and bought TWO and SATI and a brush!
And now I own just about all of the T-Tapp workouts!
How long have you been T-Tapping?
28 months now!
Why did you choose to start T-Tapping?
I didn’t want to just accept my size, or that I was going to have to starve myself to lose. As I said, my friend’s results made me want to take a closer look!
Which are your favorite moves from T-Tapp?
That changes! J Right now, Organs In Place and Half Frogs, the sit-ups and crunches from Hit The Floor, Jazz Twist, The Box, Pretzel Twist and Awesome Legs.
{Michelle, I’m not pregnant now, but I wanted to include how T-tapp has changed my eating, so I modified this question—hope that’s okay?}
Are you doing a specific eating program since starting T-Tapp?
I am not doing any specific eating program, but I have noticed that over the 2+ years of doing T-Tapp, my tastes have changed and I am eating less junk, smaller portions and more veggies! I don’t deprive myself as I’ve found that that is counter-productive to an emotional eater! I love it that I can eat what my family eats for supper (my wonderful girls cook the meals now!) and not have separate “diet” food!
I’ve noticed my emotional “need” for food has diminished greatly! YAY!
Are you using Teresa's Cellulite Removal Technique?
Yes—I highly recommend her system! My belly was my biggest area when I started, and I am totally amazed at how the skin brushing, salt baths and salt masks are really helping that area tighten up! Even the stretch marks are less noticeable! (And I had a bunch!)
Do you do any other kinds of activities with this pregnancy such as walking, aerobics, etc.?
I’ve not had the privilege of tapping all the way through a pregnancy, but all I would probably add would be walking.
Are any other Better Body Basic product that you used during your pregnancy?
Again, not through a pregnancy, but I love the Skin Saver Body lotion and grapefruit oil! I use a few drops of the grapefruit oil with the SSB when I slather it on, and I also put a few drops of the grapefruit oil in my water when I work out!
What other health benefits have you had while doing T-Tapp (less edema, less PMS crazies, reduction of knee pain, control of depression, etc)?
I feel more emotionally calm, less PMS, more stamina, stronger muscles, I’ve gained ¾ inch in height J and I have a lump under my right arm that has reduced in size greatly since I’ve started tapping!
I used to have to see the chiropractor at least every 2 weeks--now I might see him every 2 months! What I've saved has more than paid for my workouts!
What kinds of inch loss results have you had from T-Tapp?
As of this past week, I’ve lost 108 ¾ inches and 7 sizes!
What kind of advice do you have for other pregnant women contemplating adding T-Tapp into their lifestyle?
I think it would be an excellent workout for expectant mamas, as long as they don’t have any complications that might be aggravated by exercise in general.
Are there any other wisdom you want to share with other T-Tapp Mommies about T-Tapp and pregnancy?
I think MORE is an excellent workout all the way around, but especially for pregnant mommies! I was expecting last fall for just a few months before having a miscarriage (totally not related to tapping), but I loved it that I could do MORE, or even just the Chair portion, and still get that lymph pumping and not vegetate and lose my hard-won muscle density!
I would also say just go to your max, which applies to everyone, but when expecting, realize that your max may change—sometimes from day to day!
T-Tapp is an awesome workout, and should I have the privilege of expecting again, I will definitely Tapp and brush all the way through!
