Jeni is a 29-year-old stay at home mom and has a
2-year-old daughter, Grace. She has been married to
Rob for four years. She is originally from Illinois,
and met Rob on the internet.
Her family recently relocated to Maryland after living
in Tennessee for five years. Rob is a software
trainer and a principal consultant for a computer
firm. Jeni LOVES being a stay at home mom, and wants
to continue to stay home. She is hoping to become a
childbirth assistant and a lactation consultant. She
would also like to become a T-Tapp trainer someday.
Stephanie: Hi Jeni! I am so excited to be able to do
this story on you, especially since seeing your photos
at your web site. So how did you find out about
T-Tapp?
Jeni: I found out about T-Tapp through my involvement
on the Weight Watchers web site.
Stephanie: So, how long have you been T-Tapping?
Jeni: Since March of 2001.
Stephanie: Have you done any other exercise programs
prior to T-Tapp?
Jeni: I did Tae Bo for a while before ordering the
T-Tapp tapes, and never did them again once I started
T-Tapp. I just chase my daughter around for exercise
other than T-Tapp now.
Stephanie: What are your results to date?
Jeni: I have lost 36 inches. Doing T-Tapp and eating
on Weight Watchers, I have lost 30 pounds and four
dress sizes, from a 16 to an 8!
Stephanie: Wow you have really gone down. What is it
you like about T-Tapp?
Jeni: I like how strong I have gotten, the extra
energy I have, and the peace of mind I feel getting
regular exercise. I like the fact that the workout is
lymphatically cleansing and speeds up your metabolism,
knowing that it is so good for your health. I am so
glad to know so much more about my body and how it
works. The inch loss is a nice side effect too!
Stephanie: I agree, the fact that T-Tapp is so much
more than just exercise, it’s peace of mind, makes it
even more worthwhile. Do you have a particular tape
you like?
Jeni: Maxi-Max 2 is my favorite tape right now. I
did the two instructionals for four months and the
beginner/rehab tape for four months before I ever got
any new tapes. I like the fact that Maxi-Max
2 is a full standing and full floor workout, and I do
not have to change tapes.
Now, my two favorite moves are the Primary Back
Stretch and Archery Pulls. I love Primary Back Stretch
because I can do it before any other activity and know
that I will burn more fat doing it, and I enjoy the
comprehensive torso/waist/abs stretch that the archery
pulls move gives.
My next two purchases will be the extended stretching
with linear alignment Target POP tape and the Balance
Sequence POP tape.
Stephanie: You mentioned that you also use Weight
Watchers, which is a very sound eating program. Do
you find T-Tapp complements that?
Jeni: I must admit that I fell off the Weight
Watchers wagon last fall during our move to Maryland
and was only sporadically sticking to the program
after that. I have recommitted myself to Weight
Watchers as of mid-January, and internally I feel so
much better. I like giving my body the fuel it needs
to burn fat properly, and how I feel when I am not
overeating. T-Tapp complements Weight Watchers very
well in my experience.
Stephanie: Jeni another amazing thing is you are
still achieving inch loss while nursing! Most people
say that is impossible, but you are proving it’s not.
Do you have anything you would like to share about
that?
Jeni: Yes I have a 2-year-old daughter that continues
to nurse a few times a day. My personal preference is
that she nurse until she decides to wean, and I have
the support of many women in my community, as well as
her pediatrician. I had always wondered if exercise
would affect my milk supply; but, I have found that in
my case it does not. I do not over train, I do not
usually work out more often than every other day, and
even then for 60 to 90 minutes at most. I have found
that other women who nurse are concerned about
exercise affecting their milk supply as well. I think
that when combined with plenty of fluid and nutritious
food choices, exercise can be very beneficial. I
certainly have an easier time keeping up with the
energy level of my toddler now that I have lost weight
and toned up!
Stephanie: Yes those toddlers can wear you out! I do
want to thank you for your time and I want to point
out that Jeni has started an email list for those
T-Tapping moms who are nursing, it’s located at
nursingtappers@yahoogroups.com and to see more on Jeni
