Each year Teresa Tapp hosts a big T-Tapp event in Florida.  This is THE event of the year where T-Tappers can learn from and attend exercise sessions taught by the creator of this fabulous workout program.  In 2009 the T-Tapp Fitness Retreat was held at the famous Safety Harbor Resort & Spa on beautiful Tampa Bay from October 1-4.  Our annual Trainer Certification Retreat immediately followed this event from October 4-7.

The focus of the 2009 T-Tapp Fitness Retreat was the Power of Mindful Movement for Better Brain and Body Function, including Menopause Management. Teresa Tapp taught how to implement the primary principles of T-Tapp and muscle activation techniques into daily activity to optimize metabolic function, improve effectiveness of traditional exercise training and increase the intensity of any T-Tapp workout without increasing reps or sets.

The Menopause Management part of the Retreat came in once we got confirmation that Mary Shomon was our keynote speaker!  She shared her expertise on how to optimize thyroid function, as well as dysfunction, along with menopause management. Mary Shomon's new book, The Menopause Thyroid Solution, was released in July 2009 and features over 30 pages about T-Tapp! At this Retreat Teresa Tapp taught a special clinic on the T-Tapp workout featured in her book called "Mindful Movement for Menopause Management".

A T-Tapp Retreat isn't your typical fitness retreat!  Each day of the Retreat we did a morning stretch, a full workout and a specialty clinic.  Then we have special features, such as our usual wine and cheese reception, hearty meals with some healthy options, and a decadent coffee bar. Remember the average inch loss during the Retreat is 8 inches – and that's not water weight – it's YOURS for the long term!
