Please take a moment to consider how fearfully and wonderfully your body is made, how resilient, adaptive and capable it is, how strong it can be, how it can respond to your every need. Now take a moment to consider how it would feel to be absolutely in control of this most wonderful and complex machine, this most precious gift from God. This one truth was the catalyst for all my actions in becoming healthier. I have this great gift and now I am in control. That wasn’t the case 2 years ago.
By the time I admitted to myself that I was totally out of control I was about 60 pounds overweight, hypertensive and menopausal suffering from indigestion and heartburn, constipation, headaches, arthritic changes in my spine, hips and shoulders, my ankles were swelling daily and the worst was difficult to control anxiety. I was exercising but could not find a type of exercise that suited me. I was trying one diet after another and if I didn’t get immediate results would totally discount it. I knew so little about my body and every attempt I made was a “shot in the dark”.
On my 59th birthday I vowed that by the time I turned 60 I would be the best that I could be and that I would do whatever it took to achieve better health. Oh man, what a journey it has been! I have never looked back. Part of my commitment led me to Weight Watchers and while I did not like the cost of the program and did not continue with it I did find out about T-Tapp on their website. I went to T-Tapp.com and spent days reading and digesting the information on the site and reading the forums. I could not believe that I had never heard of T-Tapp. Believing that the transformations people claimed could happen to “ordinary” folks was difficult but I did not have enough doubt to keep me from ordering the TWO including the CRT skin brushing system.
When I got the DVD’s I watched each one a couple of times and also purchased Teresa’s book and read it cover to cover. Of course I started with instructional DVD's and after about a month of doing those in front of a mirror I did a 10 day boot camp with the TWO. The first place I noticed a change was in my ankles. They weren’t swollen at night after work and I could see the bones on both sides. Wow – it doesn’t seem like much but I was thrilled. People began to notice that my shape was changing. Cellulite on my thighs was diminishing and my skin was becoming soft and smooth with the CRT program. I was sleeping better, my moods were mostly happy and I just felt good. It has been 15 months since I did instructional #1 for the first time and I can’t tell you exactly when all things changed but I can tell you that it is rare for me to have a headache, I haven’t had a problem with elimination in months, no indigestion or heartburn. When I T-Tapp consistently I don’t have any discomfort from arthritic joints at all. Best of all I was able to stop anxiety medication and now I control minor anxiety with Natural Calm – a great product. I still have to take medication for hypertension but my prayer is that I will one day be able to discontinue it as well.
I want to add that I have made a lot of changes in my diet too. I follow the 5 rules of Leptin religiously. I no longer eat any product with sugar or artificial sweeteners and I especially avoid high fructose corn syrup and products with hydrogenated oil. My food choices are made from very lean meats, poultry, fish, limited dairy, large amounts of fresh, raw vegetables and fresh fruits especially those that are low glycemic. I limit my intake of caffeine and drink mostly water and naturally caffeine free teas. What coffee I allow myself is no longer whitened with half & half and I don’t even miss it anymore.
I started at a size 14-16 and I am currently wearing a size 12 with an occasional 10. I regret that I never measured myself but I really had that nagging feeling that T-Tapp was too good to be true so I just never bothered. After I T-Tapped for awhile I realized that I would never quit so measuring seemed like a moot point. Looking back I think it would be nice to be able to tell you all how many inches I have lost but I guess maybe the pictures will speak for themselves. My gauge has always been the way I see myself in my mirror. I have a lot more work to do because I still don’t see the “me” that I want to see and I have these smokin’ hot, defined muscles right beneath the surface and I won’t be happy until they have been fully revealed. As far as my weight – my doctor has it recorded but I don’t even ask what it is. I refuse to be in bondage to a scale. I would have loved all my fat to simply and quickly dissolve but that did not happen. With T-Tapp and perseverance I will see the body I want in the mirror someday – I just enjoy the ride every day.
I want to thank Teresa Tapp from the very bottom of my heart and sincerely hope that someday I will have the very distinct pleasure of meeting her in person – I have a special hug waiting just for her. Also, Teresa has an excellent staff and her trainers are all top notch, I have learned so much from them. The forums are a great source of information, insight and inspiration and frequented by such knowledgeable people.
One final thought – we all have this one job of taking care of ourselves and if we don’t do it well every other job will be so much more difficult. Take the time, make the commitment. You won’t be sorry!
Oh, by the way I turned 61 in August 2008!
